Sea Pines

South Carolina

It's easy to get lured to Hilton Head Island - the beaches are vast and the golf is world-class. This is why our clients first purchased and renovated their Sea Pines home in 1995.  Having done an extensive rebuild of their home in 2012, it was now, 7 years later surrounded by faded furniture, time to turn their attention to finally creating a furniture plan that allowed for large family living in comfort and style. Thus, we were brought in to develop an open concept design that accommodated the multi-generational gatherings, with an eye towards durability and longevity. Intentional furniture planning allows for all occupants and guests to cook together over the massive island, sit comfortably for conversation and games in the living space, and linger over dinner parties at the table for 12. Keeping the color palette coastal, we infused the space turquoise and blue, beiges and pops of pink, and we pulled in the essence of the Low Country through tropical prints, dark woods, and natural textures in the furnishings and accessories. Given the oceanfront location, much time at this home is spent outside, and carrying this color palette through the downstairs and out to the porch, allowed for a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor space.
